About United Million Miler
United Million Miler is the storytelling home for Carl’s life in the air, built around millions of miles flown on United Airlines. What started as loyalty became a long-running personal project, a discipline, a community, and a way of seeing the world through routes, aircraft, airport rituals, and the strange logic of frequent flying.
This site brings together mileage runs, inaugural flights, aviation stories, milestone moments, and the people met along the way. It is part personal archive, part avgeek field guide, and part record of what it looks like to build a life around flying farther, more often, and more intentionally than most people ever will.
Why I built this
I built United Million Miler to document what happened when flying stopped being an occasional trip and became a way of life. Over millions of miles on United, I found routines, friendships, stories, odd rituals, and a community of people who understand why routings, cabins, seat maps, and aircraft still matter.
This site is where I’m collecting that world, from mileage runs and inaugural flights to milestone moments and reflections from life spent in motion.
